New bands, different requirements, and changing tastes means new configurations! Purchasing a Berg Super Pre was the biggest factor in all of this. All my analog stuff now on 1 board, and a little board to go in front of the Super Pre. Love the LA-1A into the THDI. Just couldn't give these items up yet.

Serious planning, indeed; you'd best be committed to every single thing on that board. Knowing me, I'd just be praying the whole time that nothing ever required swapping out!

I’ll be looking at 18 months with no changes before the next rewire. Hopefully should be even neater while also in a smaller footprint. I’ll post the results when I can.

Update… Lately, been using/modding Temple Audio pb’s (or make my own)… I’ve discovered TA’s are very easy for side-jacks, wiring, and lighting…currently have three pb’s built.

If I had to choose only one, hmmm…Super Pre board, for the pure no-compromise bass tone/ options. Having 21 presets available—quite convenient!

TA Duo17 pb (cut down to 13” wide)…

Designed/built my QC pb (lightweight 1/8” aluminum-composite plate) as an ‘all-in-one’…fits cleanly in the SKB-QC case…

But how are you powering the Quad Cortex? The back panel in your photo says it requires 12vDC at 3A, but the Cioks puts out 500 mA per 12vDC jack. You have four jacks hooked up so that means you are delivering 12vDC but only 2A.

Interesting. I looked up the manual after noticing that 1A disparity in your photos--to check I was indeed seeing 3A and not 2A in that photo--and it says 3A with no mention of a 2A minimum. (I don't own a QC so this is just me being curious after seeing your photos.) Maybe you've discovered something new here? Regardless, it's clearly working for you!

It’s been well-known among QC owners, since the QC first launched. Cioks made an early vid on the subject…here’s a more recent vid:

Every time I see one of those Temple Audio light kits I get very very tempted. Do they come with adhesive backing or do they need to be cable tied into place?

Just peel and place … I’ve also found using two strips (for more light coverage) work just fine. I combine, using either Cioks daisy chain (or Cioks splitter) cable, into a single Cioks outlet.

A single TA remote controller will operate both strips. Once in awhile, they can get out of sync (one on/one off)…easily rectified by clicking the remote power button twice. But this is rare…normal powering on/off the pb, they usually stay in sync. I much prefer consistent lighting around the boards…

Yup! All custom, just lots of measuring to get the holes all lined up
Basically, gave myself a footprint that would fit into the Pelican knockoff I use and went from there.

How do you like canvas? I use a JDI so I was curious what the Canvas offers, besides taking up a little less room on the board.

Hi, I would like to ask You the way You're using both of Boss OC's. I am huge fan of Boss and I own OC-5+OC-3.
Why You keep OC-2 on Your pedalboard?
How do You like OC-5?
What is the secret of using them?
