Love me some mini pedals! You are using the Green mile and Elec Lady for drive? Green mile is a tube screamer> What is the elec lady like?

The Electric Lady is Mooer’s take on the old EHX Electric Mistress flanger, and as such, is placed after the blue Ensemble Queen bass chorus(their Boss CEB-3 knock-off).

Yeah, it would appear that the Green Mile is in the Tube Screamer realm, but after trying it out on bass, it manages to serve low frequencies as well, so I use it for a bit of grit. The Mooer Fog before the wah* is a dedicated bass fuzz. As Mooer was at the forefront of the mini-pedal wave, I tend to still go with them for the most part, although they produced quite a few failures. Then, down the foodchain, there are certain Mosky, Rowin, Eno, Sonicake, etc, etc(with Flamma coming along)units that are surprising…and plenty of disappointments.
Those older Hotone ‘bug’ boxes are their own little world, but shouldn’t be overlooked, although there are certainly a few that are kind of “meh”.

*That is a Plutoneium Chi-Wah-Wah for bass, a weird little unit that has some unique features. I prefer something like that in real time over envelope filters.

Total rebuild after realising I could get my Super Pre on! Really enjoy the Digbeth but finally getting the SP on a board is a relief!!

Here is my newest build. It’s the first split level suitcase board I’ve made. All in all I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. The last photo shows the amount of height I was able to shave off compared to some previous builds.

Bass soulfood is normally off most of the time and I use it to hit specific tonal targets.

Bass -> polytune -> Isp decimator-> soulfood, Eq2, Markbass compressore -> Isp decimator -> broughton Di to house.

Running all pedals through the effects loop?/4 cable method through the ISP. Always on is the Isp and Eq2, which I patched through the midi to have up to 128 presets on tap. Compressore is on most of the time depending on how much the front of house is compressing. The compressore is dialed very gentle to just control the highest peaks.

I've not seen someone use the underneath velcro in the way you do, and I dig it.

Ended up taking the Super Pre back off and running it as a stand alone unit again, or running it with a HX Stomp equipped smaller board in front of it. Much more versatile for my needs.

I wish I would have thought to just make a board with the HX Stomp and Super Pre when I had it. I was trying to stick to the idea of having just one board at that time. Now I use just a standalone Stomp sometimes and I have 2 other boards.

Current Update:
Moved the KHAN VTDI and Thumpinator to the bottom, and added the Subsonic, BMS, JHS Kilt, and DCX Bass pedals. Replaced the powers supply made by "Sweet Foot Pedals" with a CIOKS DC7 and CIOKS 8.

I'm not much of a pedal person but this is what I have.

I purchased the Nu-x double layer board so I could get my wireless receiver and controller for our lights up away from my clumsy feet. There is a foot pedal that works in conjunction with that controller for the lights. This controller can set fade times, strobe speed, colors, etc.

There is a I-spot power supply mounted under that raised level to make connections easy. For a few years the pedal tuner and the Sub n Up were the only pedals I had, with the Sub n Up getting used pretty sparingly. The Boss EQ was a recent addition. We still use small combo amps for stage monitors. The newest bass I worked up over the winter is very hot and I use the EQ attenuator to control the level of each bass going to my Rumble amp. Leave the amp settings flat. The photo is from my home music room sitting in front of my Spark 40 that I use for my guitar.

How are you liking the omnicomp in place of the cali76?

I put the Omnicomp on sort of as a whim. This board was put together for last night’s gig, and the main pedal I was auditioning/figuring out is the RFE. I wanted to keep things simple as I was introducing a new element, and this group really didn’t need much outside of one solid tone - I had the Iron Ether pedals set in a very subtle way to just accent things here and there. Today I’ll be moving these core elements over to my main board - there are a few more effects I like to use for other projects. Back to the compressors - I really, really like the Cali76. A lot. I just wanted to give something else a shot last night, and the Omnicomp is so simple to set up that it was an easy choice. But as I migrate things to the larger board, I will most likely go back to the Cali. It just has a particular tone/sound to it that I really like.
