How tall is the caveman? Can it fit into the carrying case?

Soulman doesn’t have a gig bag for this model. I use a Jamstands case for it. The pedal is quite tall though. It wouldn’t fit into a pedaltrain case for instance. But nothing else sounds like it either so what can you do?!

I’ve been through too many iterations trying to get a board setup I like. I had a too small board, then my guitar player gave me his old one which was too large and heavy. Finally settled on this setup and it’s perfect. I think I have all the effects I could ever need and use.

Is there a way to find my old post within this 92-page thread easily…instead of scrolling through 92 pages? I’m trying to find a picture of my old board that’s not on my phone now.

You can search a thread for your own posts:
Be in the thread you want to search
Click on the magnifying glass in the title bar for searching
Click on the gear icon for advanced settings
Make sure the top dropdown shows "This Thread"
Enter your own username in the Member box.
Click search

You don't need to enter a search term and that will show all posts in the thread by you.

Find a post of yours. Click on your username. A box will pop up. Click on your username again. On the next page in the middle on the right, click on Postings. That will have a chronological list of all your posts.

Just revamped my “small” board…

This is as small as I’ll get…if I’m going to bother to use a board at all, it should have all the basic but downsized versions of everything I could potentially use(and I dislike multi-effects units, I’d rather pick and choose the components). Otherwise, I’d just clip on a Snark towards the back of the headstock and go commando for blues jams and whatnot.

On the big board, which I’m also redoing, there’s a Radial Bassbone(instead of just the EQ), bigger/different brands/models of roughly the same effects, and a different routing set-up for the octave situation…

A splitter in between the compressor and octave allows me to send the octave up(only)to different dirt/effects and then on to a separate small amp as a faux tandem guitar sound as opposed to a fake 8-string bass sound. Very handy in a trio situation.
The standard bass signal flow includes an effects loop pedal patch point for any potential experimentation, such as a ring mod or the EHX Ravish Sitar(very trippy on fretless), or whatever might come to mind. No limits.

Still, on either, tidiness when it comes to cables…signal is trimmed to exact length needed, tucked away, and power is tethered down with Velcro.
