i'm planning to build a warmoth jazz bass. can everybody with a warmoth (jazz) bass show his masterpiece here? so i could see what all is possible ? ! show your bass(es) + discription please!
It's the one on the right... Swamp ash body w/wild maple top, Birdseye/birdseye neck, black fret markers, Nordstrand humcancelling pickups, J-retro preamp. I replaced the pictured bridge (Badass IV) w/ a ABM quick release version. Plays great, looks great to me. Considering a refinish to Honeyburst, though...
I don't have any pics of my own to show, but have you looked at the 'gallery' link on the warmoth website? Its got some shots of warmoth basses after completion.
^^^I keep hearing that referenced, but I must have missed the thread. Was their some confusion about Valenti basses and Sadowsky basses (hence the Sadowsky using Warmoth parts bit that I keep hearing)????? Enlighten me oh bass gods! EDIT: To Vanselus
Sikly: naah, it's been a constant ongoing rumor that is absolutely NOT true. Doesn't have anything to do with Valenti, the rumor was there long before he made sweet basses. Do a search - the threads are entertaining.
yes... Since this picture the pickups have been swapped to Nordstrands, the old J-retro replaced with a new one (had two, sold the older one), and the bridge replaced with the ABM quick release bridge. Really would like to get a cherryburst or Honeyburst refin done on it...
I'll second not to refinish it! That's an amazing looking top, hell even the FB is figured... Sell it and build a new one in the finish you want! (hint hint) Troll
They do make Tele bass bodies. Hey Nino, what kind of wood is that 3rd bass in you list of pictures? It looks like walnut or something -- very nice!
I bought this neck & body off of eBay. The body was flamed maple & it was SUPER heavy. I ended up selling it before I posted it here.
