Great link to Zoom pathcs thanks.
I'm using a Steinberger QX5 into a SABDDI into a Acoustic B600H into 2 Avatar N210 cabs.
Anybody use thier zoom with any of these?

The sansamp patch sounds very distorted. I don't use my SABDDI for distortion or grit. I haven't had time to fidgit with the box but can the grit be tamed?

Yes, you can turn down the model for the sansamp and that will tame the grit. I have found that for headphone practice the grit can be too much but in a band mix it adds just a touch of sweetness. I still like the Bassman and SWR models best though.
Duh, well I finally got to try my B2 with some really loud CD music going and wow I really dig this little red box. Yes to the naked ear a lot of these patches might not seem right (A and B banks) but boy kick them in with music going and you really hear the difference. I was really digging the 6 or so amp emulators in the B bank. I skipped the effect ones for now but the SVT, Hartke, SWR and Tube were very nice and I feel for me anyway very usable in my band. The sansamp patch sounds very distorted. Yes I must agree the two buttons are tough to master plus to get to off you have to hold it down for what seems like for ever and of course your foot covers the screen so you can't sure. I wish we could have tow external buttons, one for the bank up and a second for tuner/on off. Oh well.
In reflection though we are probably stealing this thread becasue it is a about patches.
FWIW I found a very nice phaser patch at the B2 patch website listed many times above. I'm working on the high end frequencys to tyr to recapture my memory of my Roland jetPhaser through an Acoustic 301 18" cabinet back in the 70's.

I've been entering a bunch of these patches lately just keying them in and and then trying the different ones out.
I've noticed something that I don't like and I'd like to know which portion to edit to reduce it.
On some of them I'm getting a lot of fingertip/string noise. Like if I slide up say from a D to an E, it seems to be very sensitive to my fingertips on the roundwounds.
Not all the patches I entered last night were like this. Any idea which effect might be enhancing that undesirable (to me) sound?
Hi EQ...reduce the upper frequencies a bit...
I'll see if I can set that up for the gig tonight. I used to have a full Roland V Bass setup and it had a patch very similar to the JetPhaser through a folded horn cabinet. Just a bit of grit in it too. I'm sure I can make that patch again, just need to find that elusive thing called "Time".+1, or check to see if Hi EQ is set to shelving - if so, switch it to peaking and tweak knobs 2-4 to taste.
