Show your Zoom B2 settings!

Hello again,

Another couple of sound settings...
This is a sound I like to play using a funky slap'n'pop mute style.

Studio Slap sound.

Hi eq He-----(-2)----3-----3
Mod/Fx Pt-----dt------1-----32

Hope you can work this out.

Happy playing.

Just got one brand new on ebay for £32.

All my amps are at our rehearsal studio so I tried it through headphones last night. Sounds amazing. I'll try a few of these out and post some of mine up as soon as I learn how to! I'm looking forward to trying the fat bottom end as posted by Pilbarabass. I'm looking for a bin shaking dub reggae sound.

This is my first effects pedal. I've always played clean - now I'm gonna get dirty!

Hi Marill

Here is a Synthy Setting I use,see what you think.
The trick is to muck about with the ZNR setting till you clean up the noise.

Happy playing:bassist::cool::bassist:

(Check the link to some sounds in my other post)

:hyper: i rather upset with this zoom B2. It is colouring too much to my bass guitar sound. It give a midrange sound a lot eventhough i had set the mid frequency. Hard to get a sound like APHEX Exciter with a good bottom and high crisp. Need help, how to set this devices.:hyper::hyper:

Hello,

Here's a link to some sound settinds I've posted, hope you find them of some use...happy playing:bassist:

I have the B2, never really got a real hang of it... i tried your "clean fingers" patch and it works great! somehow every patch i ever came up with was always missing a little something... i still need to do a lot of experimenting...

thanks for this thread! it's been really useful.
Once i come up with a patch i find worth it i'll post it...

hello guys i'm so glad that i found this thread regarding zoom b2 patch sharing...I would like to ask If you guys have replicated the sound of dirk lance the (former bassist of incubus) in b2? thanks!

Hey chrism311, check out his gear - once you understand it better, it may guide you to which settings you could tweak on the zoom in order to get something that sounds close.

This is how i'm currently getting my tone. I'm using the SansAmp setting with 0 gain, eliminating the distortion but providing a nice punch on the attack without needing much treble. Turning the gain down to 0 results in a slight loss of volume so I used the Compressor setting to boost the level a bit.
The resulting soung is rich and clear with a nice bit of bite/punch just on the attack to give the notes definition. I'm still tweaking this right now though as it seems to sound a little different to me each time I sit down to play...:hmm:

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks man! maybe I need to have some experimentation on my zoom b2...looks like it's going to be a lot of work to do :smug:

This is my tube drive patch, it really makes my peavey come alive. You can adjust the gain and eq to taste, I prefer a mid boost personally. I use this patch with a p bass played with a pick into a solid state bass amp. Let me know what you think.:)

I've been entering a bunch of these patches lately just keying them in and and then trying the different ones out.

I've noticed something that I don't like and I'd like to know which portion to edit to reduce it.

On some of them I'm getting a lot of fingertip/string noise. Like if I slide up say from a D to an E, it seems to be very sensitive to my fingertips on the roundwounds.

Not all the patches I entered last night were like this. Any idea which effect might be enhancing that undesirable (to me) sound?
