Show your Zoom B2 settings!

You can get an external switch and set it to scroll up through the 8 banks(there are 40 preset patches as well) but it's a long trip from B4 to A7 by way of C, D, 0, 1, 2, and 3. I find that playing in a group I usually only use a few patches. When a song has predetermined effects changes I put the patches next to each other.

That's the hardest part about the Zoom for me, trying to decide on an organizing principal for my patches. Last night I organized by gain, bank A has no amp models, the first half of bank B has the Bassman just starting to break up, and the second half has the Ampeg in overdrive, bank C has some crazy over the top stuff that I would probably never use with a band, bank D is available for experimentation or guitar patches for recording etc. These are all organized internally to hopefully work smoothly for live use.

have you guys ever noticed any high pitched noise when running an active bass (spector) through the zoom? it only happens when using the MOD / SFX Module by itself...like if i add an amp model it will go away. very strange and it doesn't do it on my passive fender. any idea what that could be?

I've gotten some weird digital noise from mine sometimes. I think it was associated with the chorus and maybe the phaser plus I had a separate compressor running after which was cranked at the time while I was learning how to work a real compressor like a "normal" person. Oh, and yes my main bass is active. It got better.

not really had chance to really play around with it really, I do like the b0 one though, the pedal sounds like you have just unplugged your amp, works well if you want to make something a little diffrent. But I mainly use the Preset's, C2 C4, still yet to find a preset I truely like but ive not giged with it so havent really used it much other then for the metronome and drum machine when im bored in my hotel room.

Ill have a play tonight and see what I can come up with.

oh yeah, does anyone get CRAZY feedback when you plug it into your laptop?? Kinda sounds like my mobile phone (cell for you americans) is going off but worse. I cant actually use it at all. Oh and I really dont think it likes Windows Vista either. Rather a let down to be honest.

manual... read it... page 23, column 2, second bullet point of the note

If the DAW application has an echo back function
(input signal during recording is supplied directly to
an output), this must be disabled when using the
B2.1u. If recording is carried out with this function
enabled, the output signal will sound as if
processed by a flanger effect.

you may have to disable the monitoring function of your audio mixing panel...

I just got this today, and since it's my first effect pedal besides my mxr m80, I plan on irritating the stuff out of my friends when I go play with them next with this setting

----------------------Knobs
------------Setting---1-----2-----3
Comp---------CP-----10----10----1.0
Wah/Efx-------tr-----1.0---50----u9
Drive/Synth---St-----of-----iA----80

Mod/Sfx-------CH----44----26---50

Reverb--------SP-----5-----10----1.0

it's like a repeating person in a tunnel saying "yea" a lot and then you do some slides and it's like they're making their voice higher. Also, the volume is way too loud on this, so I have the pedal on volume.

Pretty much doesn't even sound like a bass anymore, but it's fun to play with, and I'll insist on using it on every song when I go practice with my friends!

I also made a neat chorus, but I have to go now, I'll share it later.
