I use the Ampeg model (AG). I keep the gain around 42, the tone at 5, the blend at 50. I don't use the speaker sim. It gets a little middy in a mix but that may be in part to my rig. I think that with enough headroom it would sound fatter.

how do u wipe the settings so u can start one from scratch? i cant find it in the intructions book
Does anyone else have problems with feedback when playing at full band practice levels?

I don't use the detune much. I found software that does a good job of changing pitch or speed of an mp3 file pretty well for practicing.
I actually use the Pitch Tuner (pt in MOD/SFX module) in Church when the leader wants to change key so the congregation has a better chance of singing it... that way I just play what's on the sheet and don't have to think about it. I get him to tell me how many semitones up or down he wants to go for that song and set up a patch for it with 100% balance...
Also allows me to use a normal bass and change quickly between EADG & BEAD just like that...

BUMP. +1 on the above settings - close enough to the sound I'm used to from my RBI for Sunday use.
I needed a cheap and easy way to get lots of the effects I'm used to in my main rig replicated on my church rig so I've just picked up a B2. The big selling point for me was the pitch-shifter as we change keys quite a bit and I rarely get to see the sheet music before playing (transposing without practice hurts my feeble brain). The shifter on this thing is very quick but hollows the sound out a bit. However, I seem to be able to EQ to taste.
Very nice unit! Great job, Zoom!
i think you would want the patches used in the same song to be right next to each other...like A1 & A2. it wouldn't be that hare to arrange them that way unless you are using all 40 of the slots.
I don't know of a way to switch quickly between the patches other than hitting the + and - patch buttons that cycle through them by tens (of course you can't do this while standing). I did just get my zoom last week though so i may not know everything...
