Shure GLX-D discontinued

I've just come to know that this spring Shure has discontinued the GLX-D wireless system. I can't figure out why except there's an upgraded version coming. The size and function of that little unit were amazing. The built-in tuner was impressive and super sensitive, excellent for 5-string basses. I have one and I've ordered a second one as soon as I heard the news, just in case.

Anyone else as bummed as me?

I know, just hoping that the new one (if there is one, it's been 9 months) keeps the features that made the original one so good. Belt pack, tuner, rack or pedal. No other system let's me use the same transmitter with both my rack and board whilst saving space by having a built in tuner.

And the battery life - I can do two 4-hour rehearsals without even thinking of recharging.

This boggles my mind.
I have the pedal version and the box version since 2014.
I have gigged with this setup hundreds of times outdoors, and in the most insane crowded places in the middle of a city.
I have never had a drop out, and it has been rock steady throughout the years.
Not sure why they discontinued it without launching it's replacement.
Love this unit.
