Shuttle 6.0 EQ settings

I am curious to know how people are setting up the Shuttle 6.0 EQ settings live.. and for what types or what songs.. like all Right Now, Rush... Duran Duran, etc..

I would love to know if you guys/gals tweak the EQ and tube section throughout the sets.. or leave it as is.. I am inclined to leave it as is..

And with what basses? Just curious to know your fav settings with which basses.. and do you leave the basses throttled full volume, bass, treble..

GB NOEX112 cabs
On my 6.0 pretty much flat. MAYBE cut about 1K to where I can just barely hear it (about 3db?)
And at times leave the bass boost engaged.

Basses:
Sadowsky 5 w/single coils
Valenti j/mm
Yamaha BB5000 with Nordy PJ p/ups
(all above bass with Sadowsky pre-amps)
Old Fender Jazz (passive)

Again, depends on the gig, room, which bass.

I just bought a 6.0 & will be watching this thread with great interest. I am reconfiguring my cabinets as well, so I haven't tried it out yet except through headphones.

I am retiring (from gigging) my old SVT III (non-pro) in order to downsize & also haul less weight around. I have always favored 15's & my first revised cab that will be ready, has a 3015LF (which I've been using for a while now loaded in a re-tuned TL cab).

We'll see.....

ok; thanks. how do you set, then, the tube section? and what about the horn within the 12T? I assume you set the tube gain and volume at 12 o' clock..

I set mine @ 12.. then set the low at 3 o clock, the low-mid at 2 o-clock, then the mid freq at 8 o clock (hate the clickiness of mids, then set the high at 12 o clock.. I then boost the mids via the mid scoop.. I set the horn at 50%.. all with a Fender Jazz or Fender Precision..

I set the tube gain to barely flash on the hardest hit notes, then back it down a hair. The resulting setting will totally depend on the output of the bass.

You're using a LOT of EQ there. Also, the mid-scoop reduces the mids, doesn't boost them them.

I tend to not use the tweet or just barely have it on.

I had thought the mid scoop increased the mids.. genz benz CLAIMs we're short changing the power settings.. wattage output if we don't use the EQ.. i find , live, the best = flat across the board.. with a tad bit of boost for lows.. but then I up the tweeter to 75%.

I use Precisions and an Eden 4x10, I set the tube gain at about 1-2 O'Clock with the volume at about 1 o'clock. I bump the low to 1 o'clock and the mid to 2 o'clock mid freg at flat and trebl anywhere from flat to 2 o'clock. No signal shapes engaged and master volume at about 11 o'clock. I control the volume for each song with my bass and the treble also.

i'm with tallboybass on the tube settings and i keep most the eq flat with one exception. i play a stingray and love the aggressive, meaty tone from the bass but hate the clank so i yank all treble out on my 6.0 and run my stingray eq flat. i know that is kind of strange but it's what i do. different strokes for different folks as sly would say...

I'm all for whatever works for you. That EQ is there to be used if necessary...and with certain combinations of bass, room and cab, I EQ the heck out of them. I just tend to use the combos that don't need a lot of EQ more (i.e. Jazz4 + 6.0 + AE410 = sweet flat)
