Double Bass SICK FUN WITH LYRICS.

Yep, I think I've had it after that one. But I am about to link it into a folder for personal use. I promise to give you credit.

I'm writing this from the edit feature. I just emailed this around....in the process, I started to think. If something would happen to me....This is NO jive, now...I have instructed a member of my family who is in my will to have this read at the memorial service. (if there is one) I'm serious. Again, you will be credited.

Just cause I haven't done it lately. This is for all you "new folks" out there....

You don't know
where One is,
you never know the changes or the form.
You're playing is so far below the norm,
And you don't know
where One is.

You don't know
where beats are,
you cannot tell beat one from "and" of three.
Just how lame can one poor fella be?
And you don't know
where One is.

Do you know the key or chords
for tunes you claim you're knowin'?
No wonder you sound so lost,
once you've started blowin'...

I can't tell
from your line
whether you're in 3 or in 5/4.
I tell you this and tell you one thing more,
you don't know
where One is....

Genius the likes of which I have rarely seen!

aw,that's sweet. Although I hope I never hear that read at MY funeral....
Credit where credit due, the "title" is from bassist x-trordinaire, John "X" Ray....

I don't think you will.

We were just talking about Yogi Berra and The Grim Reaper the other night at the session and that was a mangling of one of his quotes (remarking on the jumbotron scrolling through the names of Old Timers who had passed since last year's old timer's game) "Gee I hope I never see my name up there". The other one was in response to someone saying he wasn't going to attend the funeral of a mutual friend " You gotta go to people's funerals, otherwise they won't come to yours...."

Yogi was a genius!!
My favorite Yogi story - Once, Yogi's wife Carmen asked, "Yogi, you are from St. Louis, we live in New Jersey, and you played ball in New York. If you go before I do, where would you like me to have you buried?" Yogi replied, "Surprise me."

****er. In 3, of course.
May I add some lyrics to your all ready posted tune, Ed? **** walked in? (for us jazz bassists?) "**** walked right in and scared the s*** outta me."
Let's fall in ****.
No greater ****.
If I ****ed you.
A **** affair to remember.
The Mario Lanza favorite of the day.....Be my ****.
And that musical question....Why do I **** you?
My current ear-worm: Indian **** Call. I **** how you **** me.

Ed, as everybody knows it's "dat man" not "that man". True, dat?
