Sid Vicious could play the bass

Nah most of their gear was stolen. I think they robbed Bowie's tour bus.

Pistols guitarist Steve Jones actually stole mics off Bowie's stage by pretending to be with the road crew. He said the mics had been zip-locked to the stands, but it was just a quick snip and he was out of there.

Some of the other Pistols gear wads stolen from another big band's rehearsal studio while they were doing a gig on the other side of London.

They didn't call Steve "The Cat Burglar" for nothin'.

Yeah, I heard Malcom favored him for having that skill set, in particular. Lol.

Malcolm charmingly attributed much of his aesthetic to the tricksterish Granny who raised him. He said she used to chide the boys when they were being good that their behavior was too dull, and that they should get up to something naughty. Shel Silverstein school of child-rearing!

By the description above, these people were garden variety A**holes. I will never get the interest in these losers.

UK punk journalist Nick Kent helped kick off the punk wars hy mocking David Gilmour's greasy hair in a widely circulated and notorious review. All of which is to say you are doing the noble and just thing by defending your side. Carry on!

New Rose had been released only a week or so? before and being the barman for the bunch of 'em, I basically heard Micky and Malcom put a plan together to "Change The Business Forever"...with support from the Vibs and Dave....

Not too long after, Micky signed The Vibrators and Released a god awful first single..."We Vibrate" on RAK records.....

The Damned released "The Damned"....and all of a sudden.....

Pistols had barely been thought of at this point if I recall correctly....(Much booze and many drugs were inhaled at this time....(So much for Punk dismissal of Hippy drug culture ).....

So...take it or leave it...:D

Oh! and Sid, bless 'im couldn't play bass for :poop:....

What can I say?....
