SIEGMUND BIG BOY 300

Awesome congrats! If I recall correctly, a good friend of mine has a Siegmund 112 guitar amp. At least that's the name I remember. Super boutique with amazing tone so I would expect nothing less out of that beast. :D

4 ohm max? I always hated that about SVTs. Love that my Meatsmoke can do 8 ohm.

Yep . A personal choice . 4 ohm or 2 ohms .
I have 2 barefaced cabs. Both are 4 ohms . Can't see me ever gettng rid of them so I made the amp to match. But I did consider the 8 ohm option. Good new is the new Verellen will do 8 ohms :)

Nice! Make sure you post in the Verellen thread when that amp comes in. That thread has been slooooow the last year or so.

One thing that I just noticed, which I love, is that the preamp tubes are handily located at the back of the chassis for easy swapping/tube rolling.
On my Verellen Meatsmoke I have to reach over the power tubes and around the transformer to the front of the chassis to swap preamp tubes. This minor annoyance definitely influenced my settling on a configuration after a few trials.

I modded my Verellen so I could take the face off and access the preamp tubes from the front
