After reading the manual and running it at 2 ohms and resetting the bias for 2 ohms this thing is a MONSTER. After 4 years of owning it I was operating it to its potential!!!!

Sorry. I should have answered this year's ago. It's 2 ohms max and OMFG does it sound amazing at 2 ohms. It's like having a new amp. And significantly more clean headroom at 2 ohms.

Installed a red tipped Telefunken ef86 and genelax 12ax7 as well as a TAD 12at7. Running at 2ohms and biased correctly I feel like an idiot lol. The greatest bass amp I've ever played has been in my studio for 4 years running at what I feel like is 50% of its potential before I tried optimizing it for 2 ohms and swapping new pre amp tubes.

It's like a new amp. It was loud and clear before but it has so much more dynamics and is fatter (and louder). I'm sure it has a lot to do with the swapped pre amp tubes but man oh man. It's awesome.

I guess my Verellen Meatsmoke/Hiwatt dr405 blowing a tube was a good thing. :).
