Signature series emg pickups

has anyone else had any trouble with the emg signature series pickups and emgs terrible customer service I bought a set of Tom araya signature series I worked on putting them in for hours this was my first time doing something like this but it wasn’t brain surgery after the first night I could barely get any sound out of them there supposed to be active I tried calling emg tech support but had to leave a message the tech support guy called the next day we’ll i have a job so when I got home I called back he walked me through a few things I thought it was good till I plugged it in I had more sound than the night before but still wasn’t right I tried turn the volumes up and down it wouldn’t do anything neither would the tone control called emg about 5 min before they went home for the weekend he told me to take pictures and send them to the other tech guy so I did with no response so I guess if you spend your hard earned money with there company you better be on there schedule I wish I could run my business like that if I did I wouldn’t have one long I’m beyond pissed about it not to mention I have a gig tomorrow night but hay as long as there having a good time this weekend it’s all good

EMG has always provided excellent customer service for me. I typically just email Allison and get my questions answered. Their pickups are as easy as it gets for installation, but there are some details that people tend to screw up, like the one reverse connection. Disassemble and meticulously go through the wiring process and they’ll almost certainly work great. Also, confirm that you’re using a fresh 9V if this is an active set.

Your story sounds like the guys at EMG trying to help you as best as they can, which they have a very good record of doing.
Did you expect them to call you at night on their time off work and go through every detail of their instructions with you?
If you are not able to follow their very simple no solder system, maybe you should get a bass tech to do the work for you.
You should have sent them a picture before your first call to them so they could see what you did wrong or right.
Kind of sucks when a customer who has a problem (which he is not even sure is not his own) to immediately come to a busy forum and throw a company under the bus.
The people at EMG have been making fantastic products very consistently since 1976 and their customer service reputation is better than good.
Last time I called them they sent me two connect cables free for a GZR P pickup that I bought USED.

Heh. Called 5 minutes before closing on a Friday and surprised to not hear from them over the weekend. Precious.
So if you had a client that was calling you 5 minutes before it was time to get off and you knew they were having a issue knowing they use let’s say what ever it is your selling to make a living and could get your product work 5 minutes before you had to go home for the weekend and keep in mind you couldn’t contact them the night before and when you did get a call back you were at work yeah because some of us do have real jobs I guess you would walk on out the door and leave them hanging too since that’s the case why would I give a shag what you think I you don’t have a solution genius I didn’t ask you or anyone else’s advise about emg customer service so if you don’t have a answer to my problem don’t become one

You know, I mostly lurk here, and do not know you, but you are getting well-reasoned responses to your problem. It looks like people are trying to help. The five members responding are trying to help you. I have read a ton of posts from @RichSnyder and he seems to be a working professional musician.

Good luck in fixing your pickup problem. I am sure if you posted a pic of your installation, someone would be happy to help you out.

I don't know, maybe, just maybe seeing as they're in the music biz - they might have a gig Friday night? Seriously, you're expecting way too much out of this. 24x7 one hour response SLA is extremely expensive when we buy it for products at work. And guess what? It's only that they will respond to you in one hour. Not that they'll actually fix your issue in one hour. If you get a reply next business day, Monday, that's incredibly good customer service.
