I remember a photo here (in AMPS maybe) of, I believe an Aguilar TH on a nice kitchen counter with a very nice house in the background. Amp on, headphones plugged in, glass with two fingers (with rocks?) of what looked like scotch, I dunno.

The photo left a semi-indelible print on my brains. I normally don't wish I had what others do, but I wanted all of that... sans the booze because I don't do that anymore. I kept breaking out in a handcuff rash.

That's Chuck's rig and kitchen. He hangs out in CWB in humor from time to time. Great guy.

Kind of like the occasional "drop-in troll" that posts in a thread about something he dislikes just to tell everybody that he thinks it sucks.

I'd like to see that in real life. Someone going into a bar just to tell everyone how immature and stupid drinking is and that personally they've never understood the allure of it (so therefore everyone else should reconsider their own opinions).

Maybe I will try this sometime. We shall call it a social experiment.

Not everyone is as logical as we are in TBOT. I had an ex ask for everything he bought me back when we divorced. Then I showed the judge the massive withdrawals he made from our bank accounts at the ATM a block from his other wife's house.

 If I understand you correctly, he was a polygamist? That's awful! Love is a kick in the ass sometimes, ain't it? Sorry you had to go through that.

Thanks. Yeah - bigamist. He had another wife and family in another city that he was passing off as an "ex." We were married for a year when I found out. Pretty awful thing to go through, but I lived. And, surprisingly, I don't hate men as a result. LOL.

I AM NO MAN!!!!!! Hahaha!!! That's actually kinda funny.

I think my words to him when I found out were something to the effect of, "GET. OUT. NOW!! And never try to contact me again." He said, "Wow. You got really cold all of the sudden." And, I replied, "Cold? Cold?!? Cold is an understatement. You can consider me Antarctica at this point because your skinny @$$ will never survive this lovely frozen wasteland. NOW. GET. OUT."

Right, sorry for the improper nomenclature. Glad to see you bounced back! :)

No harm, no foul. Life is too short for grudges and harbored anger. They take up too much time and energy that I can use doing other things that I enjoy far more.

First up was Aunt Polly.

"Tom was a huge pain in my ass, and, I think, the boy was a complete idiot. I can't tell you how relieved I am that he is out of my hair for good."

A round of applause burst out in the church.

"That boy always creeped me out," said Becky Thatcher, "I think he had a (shudder) THING for me! One time he gave me some kind of brass knob thingy, and it was all I could do not to knock him unconscious with it. Thank God he's finally dead!"

This time, the round of applause was deafening, almost knocking young Tom from his perch in the gallery.

"Wow, they sure don't think mucha you!" whispered Huck, drooling in Tom's ear just a little.

Tom punched him in the nads, and Huck let out a tiny grunt.

:D:D:D

I'm a Mark Twain fan. That was good.

Lol, I recall each infraction I've received, didn't matter if I agreed with em or not, the rules are the rules.
Each person I've had a negative/questionable engagement with later turned out to be pretty decent guys who went on to actually be of great help/assistance on future bass related things I needed advice on. Well, minus one, but I'm sure even he doubles as a decent guy in his off time.

All of this emotional stuff is really quite pointless, just brush it off, carry on, & allow maturity to prevail. In the end it usually does.
Why quit a great resource like this?
It's just a forum! Not everyone is gonna be your buddy, and not everything you say is always going to come off as innocent sarcasm, if you're being an ass, even sarcastically you run the risk of being reprimanded. Seems pretty simple.
Stop being so emotional!

^ great concept for a short story.
