signs of spring...

70 degrees yesterday -
Got my old BMW motorcycle out of the garage and rode the back roads for a while.
Dogs are swimming in the lake
Doors and windows are all open so the breeze can blow thru the house

Go ahead, rub it in. I had that last week. Last night I had to drag in wood for the stove from the wood pile out back.

It was snowing at 9am, so instead of shaving, I just trimmed up a lot

During winter, when our big 50 gallon plastic trash bins aren't being used as much I load them up with wood at the wood stack and wheel them up to the back porch. The lids come in handy and are kept closed to keep the wood dry. Works great for firewood storage at the back door. Right now I have two of them filled and sitting outside the back door, but it looks like I'll be restacking the wood on the wood rack...it's another 70 degree day.

I have a small rack in our garage that keeps about 3-4 days of wood.

I am not sure where you are, but I don't think the cold days are finished yet.

Hayfever. I even went to get prescription medication for it.
Odds are that you can find stuff in your diet that you can eliminate to settle down your immune response to pollen. In my case milk cheese and wheat but mostly the dairy. I still have a little milk but no more hayfever since I made the change.

In a nutshell, immune system gets on high alert with inflamed mucous layers becoming steady state. Then an ''assault'' of pollen triggers a runaway reaction. By calming down the steady state the hayfever doesn't happen.

Thanks, I did hear already about the dairy, didn't know about the wheat, although wheat pollen being one of the culprits it's not surprising that it helped you to cut it out. I switched to a ketogenic (high fat, medium protein, minimal carbohydrate) diet a couple of months ago, so already cut out wheat completely, but increased my dairy intake to get enough fat. Maybe I'll try to eat more nuts and olives and less cheese.

That may help. You generally don't have to worry about getting enough fat until you are on a Third World diet. The type of fat is more of a concern as far as you are concerned with knocking down your inflammation. Margarine or anything in the way of hydrogenated oils have a bad influence on that.

Saturated fats are good in moderation but high protein intake makes you acidic and then fat gets deposited on arteries. Grains are also acid forming.

Carbs from veges are all good. Think about adding some fish into your regime?
