Im quite confident these are Peavey brand nickel-plated strings
I still have the original strings that came with my Peavey G bass. They look identical to the pic aboveHmmm...don't think they match what I have. I was thinking maybe mine are old D'Addario Slowound, as I've read something about those having had multi-color silk, but I've not found a photo to compare.

It would be helpful if you could provide pics of these strings at the headstock as well so we can see how the silked ends are at the tuner end.

If it helps, the purple silk flats do sound significantly brighter than any other flats I've tried. Might actually be groundwounds.
