Simon Phillips: Protocol V

I am old, I remember when Phillips was a young phenom playing for Stanley Clarke. This is definitely grown folks music here. I did not know this bassist, Ernest Tibbs. Mr. Tibbs' concentration is on lock reading that chart, and his solo is smooth. This is a nice composition and a very good band that Simon Phillips has put together.

YouTube apparently thinks I listen to nothing but Allan Holdsworth and Simon Phillips, based on all the "suggested videos" they've been throwing at me! So I've been checking out a ton of Simon's Protocol videos lately, including a lot w/ Mr. Tibbs. Great players, all of them.
