Simple pickup boost project

Well I have this Jazz bass with a Fender CS '60s pup in the neck and a ceramic pup that came out of my Deluxe Jag at the bridge. Problem was the bridge pup output was way too low. Well my wife has the little Neodymium magnets she uses for crafts, so I put them on the poles of the pickup and it brought the output up a good amount. No audible difference, just louder. They're round 3/16" and you just need to make sure they're on right as far as polarity or it reduces the output.
