I hope your bass isn't cluttered with irritating knobs, or those silly tuners at the skinny end of the neck
For many yesra did I use a one pot pre amp with a mute button going into a power amp.

Do you really need a volume knob either? I mean, if you don't want to be able to tweak the sound, why tweak the volume?
