You would probably like the classic Baxandall tone stack that is employed by the Ampeg B-15.

Volume + Bass + Treble = TONE

Our new friend seems to trash every answer that he gets in all the threads he started. He’s looking for a knob-less kit, I suggested one. Is it a good suggestion? That’s another subject.

My point is that it's a suggestion that will not work. A bass, even an active one, driving a passive DI, does not have nearly enough gain to drive a power amp directly, sans pre-amp.

Why not just get the amp you need, set the "unnecessary" controls flat, and ignore them?

Like in spinal tap. Why don't you just make 10 louder on your amps, and then, you know, if you want to go louder, you turn it up to ten? "These go to eleven."

You could also get one of those vox 1/4 inch plug ins. Plug into bass, plug in headphones. Play

Bass..........DI...............power amp............speaker cab.
If i want more color:
Bass........Sansamp RPM........Power Amp.........Speaker cab.
The RPM & RBI`s can function as a DI on my rackmount.
