Still loving Bowmore Legend for inexpensive stuff that's good. Still loving Lagavulin 16 for the sort of expensive stuff that's great.

I don't know what it is, but I just can't seem to get into the Islay maltsI have tried most of them, all different ages, but they just don't do anything for me except make me cringe. Makes me feel like I'm not able to enjoy the extent of what Scottland malts have to offer. The only one I can manage to find the flavor depths is the Ardbeg 10 and older.
Oh well, I guess their aren't for everyone!

Don't worry about it at all. Drink what you enjoy. That's what is so enticing about scotch - the range of flavors available.
