single string headless bass bridge

I got a response from ABM, they gave the dimensions as W/H/L: 15mm/14mm/102mm and said that in the next production run, the length will be 97mm. They are also redesigning their homepage, and will provide drawings of their products in march.
Dirk, thanks for posting the pics. Can you do me a huge favor? It looks like three screws hold the assembly on to the bass. Can you measure how far the rear screw holes are from the front of the bridge? I'd like to get an idea of how these might fit on my design.

Allparts does sell a locking nut headpiece, but no mention of the manufacturer.

- I'll use that single saddle bridge, and from what i've read, the best priced is on gitarrendesignshop
- No one else make this kind of bridge
- ABM or Allparts don't sell headpiece in order to use the single ball strings

Contact www.status-graphite.com. They might sell you the headpiece as well as the monorail tuner assemblies. FTR, the headpiece is compatible with both standard and double ballend strings.

I'l keep you informed: my bass will be a bolt-on ergonomic body (a cross between Klein and Antigravity bass) with moses graphite headless neck (ordered)
actually I've contacted the Status, and they told me that at this moment they have no hardware available (I'm talking about the bridge), but I colud try to ask about the headpiece.
now I have to order the wood for the body... I've tried to contact woodbrocker but the site teems to be down
any advice in order to get the right wood?Did Basslab also sell headclamp?
Sorry it took me so long to respond Barnacle, in any case since you seem to like metric call it 7.5cm from the front of the bridge to middle of the screw hole.

Why didn't you order the headpiece from Moses? They won't sell their headpieces UNLESS you order their necks.

In any case thanks for the kudos, and I got the top for that headless bass from Larry at Gallery hardwoods. I told him the kind of things I liked and wanted something unusual, and voila Masser Birch. I wish he had more.
I'm waiting to see the Hipshot bridges to start my next builds, I really like headless and fanned. Also it's way too cold here to build during the heart of winter. I only have a couple portable heaters.
And to continue on the headpiece topic, I had a metal working friend create the one for that bass, it's not really that hard and I might even try it myself next time.
And I really like the looks of the Lud bass, nice work there. Interesting how the bridge is positioned so far back and almost off the body.

Double D, do you have inside info on these hipshot headless tuners? I don't see anything on their website.
Yeah I sent Jason @ Hipshot an email, a few days later he told me that they did have plans. The last time I visited their shop I had suggested that it was pretty much wide open market in the US.
I'm sure when they have them ready they will release official info, I'm half tempted to drop by again and maybe see the progress in person.

I've found a friend wich sells at 46$ but he has just the chromed ones, and I need the black!!! It is possible to paint it?

Dave Bunker makes and sells three different kinds of headless individual tuners and his prices beat everybody's hands down.

I've had two PBC's with the "through-body" option but have never seen the surface-mounted variety firsthand. They're strange agents but are extremely solid and work well. FTR, the through-body type uses a rear-mounted aluminum plate and two opposing cap screws per tuner for height and leveling. Dave Bunker's service is second-to-none!
