What kind of bass is that?LOL, I too was caused low-grade mental stress by the absence of multiple choices.

Thanks! I was not sure about the chrome knobs, but now that I see them in person, I kinda like it.Nice find!
is anyone else a bit disappointed with the design of the Sire logo on the headstock?

Thank you for your opinionWhat does that headstock logo sound like?
No, not disappointed in the logo. Inconsequential to me, and it's certainly not terrible.
Thank you for your opinion
I have to admit at first your comment came of as "Snide" but after your explanation, I totally agree with you. It just looks so simple and plain compared to the actual bass. Especially the Marcus Miller block font.Didn't mean that to sound snide or anything. Apologies if it's taken that way.
Some people don't like the head stock shape, either, but that also doesn't bother me. I've seen nicer logos than what Sire has, and it kind of has a LITTLE bit "cheap bass logo" look to it; it just doesn't enter my thought process much. It sounds great so I am not concerned, or even mildly bothered. Congrats on your CL score, I am about to put chrome knobs on my natural ash/maple 5-string, I like the look of them with the right bass, including yours (the chrome cavity/knob plate makes them right at home). The sunburst alder-rosewood 4 string I have looks better with the ordinary black plastic knobs though.
Just perusing the internet and found a neat picture of bass player Oskar Cartaya giving a V7 a spin at the EBS booth this past 2016 NAAM show.

Thats a great looking burst. A lot of the bursts I've seen with the alder/rosewood have been more reddish in color, which aren't really my thing
I definitely prefer the black pickguardI agree with you on the reddish thing. I would have liked it to be more brown going to black to the edges. My remedy was to put on a black pick guard which makes it pop more. The one I made didn't come out perfect so I'm waiting till Sire sells them separately someday in the future.
