Yeah it has slowed around here hasn't it as far as posts....i keep coming back to check in because i want to see if people are as stoked about these basses as i am. Anyway i also have the Regular Sire V7 Alder/Rosewood and the Vintage Alder/Maple. They both are fantastic. The Rosewood with the unfinished board is warmer. Really dig it. That being said i am really diggin the Maple finished board as well but haven't gigged with that one yet. The outputs on mine are both very similar. And if you are having a noticeable output difference there is a preamp trimpot on the underside of the preamp plate. Believe mine was right under the Mid control. Little blue square box with a white screw in the middle. Actually had to raise the volume up a tad on the Rosewood a smidge when i received it last October(15). B string has been excellent on both of them but i have to take the Vintage one out to feel that in a live context before i can be totally sure in saying that. Practicing with it at home it feels very nice however.

I have my Ash/ Maple 4 strings V7 for 6 months now and i'm very, very happy. Tha factory set up was ok and the fretwork was a little sloppy (some fret buzz in a specific fret in the g string) but i'm planning on doing a professional set up and some personalization soon, so i think it will be perfect.

I'm thinking on changing the pickguard and the tuning pegs. Are the standart tuning pegs from DR Parts or something like that compatible? Did anyone change d the tuners yet?

Running sadowsky flats on the V7 ash/maple 5. the tapered B of the sadowskys arent for everyone, but i'm very happy with this setup. I can go from a pretty good old school Pbass tone to a mellower but snappy jazz tone. just gotta wait for them to break in before the strings really shine.

Guys I got a 5 string White/ash V7. I'm trying to figure out if I should get a 4 string White Alder Vintage V7.
I do have a fender Miller signature 4 string. Just love the neck on that bass. The neck on my 5 string V7 feels a bit thick, so my question is if the neck is slimmer on the Vintage V7 and maybe more like a 77 jazzbass?

Thanks Bheemer, as the Sadowsky's are hard to get online in Europe I just ordered a set of TI's. Curious what it will sound like!

Hmmm, interesting to see if this is actually true, the only reason I sold my V75 that I got last January was the neck was a tad thicker then my preference in 5 string basses it was aggravating a bad disc in my neck.
