Thanks for sharing . Man that Sire sounds great in passive mode . Nice and smooth through the ampeg. Truly nailed that vintage tone .

You play fantastically, your band is absolutely tight and the singer is world class. Thanks, that brought a smile to my face

I can tell you right now that the alder BMR w/ RW is absolutely stunning in person. The pics on Sire website don't do it enough justice. I'm extremely happy with the way mine looks, sounds and feels.White (Alder with RW Fretboard), or Bright Metallic Red (Alder with Rosewood Fretboard), that is here the Question...![]()

I'm interested to see if they stay in place if you play real aggressive, yours sit up a lot higher. I have a 4 string and just a single magnet on the inner strings, plus I have the pickup cover on it - so they are quite protected. Also, let us know if you think it does make a difference once you've spent some serious time with them in place!
Hey all, it has been a while since I have been on here, but I have this pick guard that I got a while ago that I don't really like the look of on my bass. Sire sent it to me after it took a super long time to be sent and came broken. I was wondering if it was worth anything or if there was any interest for it, being that it is specifically made for the v7. I was told that it was crystal silver, and it is very sparkly. When I got it, it was the only one out there, but I have no idea now. Thanks!

As long as the vintage part doesn't change the shape it should work on either a four or a five string v7.I'm sure someone will buy it .
Post it here in the classifieds and on eBay and Craigslist . It will sell.
If it was for a V7 vintage 4 string I would buy it myself .

Thought I'd share this clip with you guys...this is from a live TV taping of PBS show,"Sun Studio Sessions" from legendary Sun Studios here in my hometown of Memphis,Tn. Fun fact about this recording:my batteries went dead literally mins before we cut so I had to play the entire session in passive mode...NO PROBLEM!!!![]()
This is my Alder/rosewood V7 standard...I was given this bass before they actually hit the market last year and I practically played it on every gig in 2015 from March 10 til I got the new ones! Really incredible for only $499! The only thing I had modified on this bass was I had my tech sand the neck down to a satin finish like my U.S. Lakland 55-94 basses...that's it!!
Oh...I'm recording direct and thru an original Ampeg B-15 amp!!! OMG!!
I posted one in the classifieds here without one nibble so far. Been up for weeks.I'm sure someone will buy it .

Oh dang I didn't see that, I just ordered a black vintage V7 V, I may take you up on that when it gets in.I posted one in the classifieds here without one nibble so far. Been up for weeks.
It actually lloks like ours are two different colors. Yours looks more like their, "Crystal Gold," model and mine is the "Crystal Silver," model. I did some research and apparently they planned to release these back in January along with a, "Crystal Black," model, but they still have not released them. I plan on posting mine with the same $40 price that you have, and hopefully now that people know it is there, they will buy yours as well as mine, because it does look like ours are the only ones out there.I posted one in the classifieds here without one nibble so far.
