@LUCENZO ...it's funny you say that cause I'm a big fan of his...and he's a big fan of Jamerson's....Of course I'm older than Sharay(by quite a few years) :) He called me a few weeks ago while gigging in my hometown(Memphis) and we hung out briefly..I called MonoNeon and he came down and hung out with us as well!! I'm just the old dude in the group with them!! Hahahaha! Dywane(MonoNeon) is like a son to me!

I ordered some 5x1mm magnets, they will arrive in a few days. The pole pieces are about about 4.6 to 5mm wide so i think it will be a good fit. I figure since i have a 5 stringer the A string may need 2 magnets stacked together.

I can't answer that truthfully because I had my tech shape my neck and give it a satin finish like my U.S. Laklands when I first got it last March...Honestly,I just don't remember :-) I think it was slightly thinner but not by much...They were both definitely thinner and more comfortable than the Fender deluxe jazz basses I'd played before.

Yeah You told me that back in your Angie Stone days and that has helped me but it's also the placement that's magic something you are born with. And I bet you have perfect or relative pitch.

I agree the inner 3 strings will need magnets, and maybe the A string will need two, it depends on your setup. I don't think these will harm anything - I've had them on for about 9 months now with no ill effect at all - in fact prior to this conversation, i forgot these were even on the basses. I think all it will do is expand the electro-magnetic field a hair farther to accommodate the slight string arch. Let me know what your thoughts are when you put them on!

@MakeItGruv ...having perfect pitch kinda helps me a lil bit :) but,I still have to pay attention! :) I didn't find out I had it until college...I wasn't a music major and never studied music growing up so I'd never heard of it...I thought it had something to do with me learning my notes on piano when I took lessons as a kid! Hahaha!

This is the Sire I'm playing in the last clip I posted...When I'm recording at home,I always keep the lights down a bit...seems to help me play better! Hahaha!
