Anybody got a binding 'nick' fix?
I got an amazing deal on a Sire V9 whose only 'reported' problem was a nick in the binding. Left to my own ways, I would fill the little gap with super glue but wanted ask if there is a preferred method first... also, like so many before me, I'm looking for a a drop in 19mm bridge... anyone..?

That ain't nothin' but a thing.
There are two ways to go: 1) You apply a little Super Glue and call it a day; or, 2) Take the bass to a reputable luthier/tech who can do the job perfectly, guaranteed.
Option 2: You won't notice a thing, and you're ecstatic.
Option 1: You might notice something, sometimes (maybe), but it will be a point of pride that you handled the issue yourself.
Either way, you win. So grab the great deal and go for either option!

NICE….
I have a VV7 1.gen fretless. It plays pretty nice with a maple neck/fretboard. But…it would be cool to try out a P7 with that neck/fretboard thow….

Super glue and baking soda trick will fill the gap like you never knew it was there.
I've been checking out some YouTube videos about the super glue/baking soda concoction and it's fascinating! Question… super glue in the notch and then sprinkle with B. Soda, or B. Soda first then a drop of glue?
I've never done it to a bass, only for fun like the video, but I would try it first on a test piece of wood, or plastic, or something. I believe it's a drop of super glue, then sprinkle the baking soda.
Posted my V7 2nd Gen 4 string around Nov 2021 but now i've gonna ahead and bought a pre-loved Sire V7 upgraded with chrome knobs 1st Gen 5 string. At first I didn't like the tone; it certainly does differ to the 2nd Gen but when I wind the treble right down and the mids are cut I'm starting to get more of a tone that I like.
Have to say though I'm loving the neck. My other 5 string is a Musicman Sterling but I'm finding the Sire much easier to play when you want to bring a bit of slap to the party.

4 string vs 5 string aside, is there any difference in the feel of the necks, 1st gen vs 2nd gen?
