I recorded this song with my V7, I went through an ampeg b15 combo and used Ernie Ball Cobalt flat wound strings.

I did order a V7 from Anderton's in the UK. Ordered it on a Friday evening, arrived at my house in the Chicago burbs on Tuesday! Cheaper than US even with shipping.
I got my U5 from Thomann and it was a great experience.

On a personal note, the largest appeal on the fender neck is the logo. It is not bad by any means, by the Sire necks are a different category.

Does ithe Sire P5 necks play like a wider P or is it comfy and easy to play with the rolled edge?
They are very comfortable. They are a crossover between a traditional P and and a Jazz neck. I have a classic 1.75 wide precision neck, and it is much wider (the classic Precision is much wider than the Sire P5)

My Fender Player P came with a 1.62" nut width neck. That was the first P I enjoyed playing with my small hands. I love the neck on the P7 (Jazz Width).
Can you recognize in this blind test which bass is a precision and which is a pj or a sire v3 in the neck position? Guess the closed-tone and open-tone sequence and write it in the comments!
I'm contemplating a P Bass as a companion for my V5, this makes it a bit....harder.
Yep, those necks are very thin. I`d say they are in ibanez category (width wise). A lot of players prefer that. No wonder they sell out crazy fast.
I highly prefer wider necks and I`m left handed. So it was more of a puzzle game to put together a few basses aI really like

Tone at 100% I heard a very slight difference in Bass 2 (bass 1 and 3 are slightly fatter sounding to me)
Tone at 0 % bass 2 was darker sounding while 1 and 3 brighter and same. No difference in Bass 1 and 3 whatsover. Thank you for posting this. I get tired of people claiming a P/J does not sound like a P. No difference when only the P pickup is on and J off. The J gives the P/J more tonal range in my opinion.

I am a recent owner of a sire v3-5, red and black version, of the new colors that have come out recently. I think it is a great bass, very versatile and with a sound very similar to Marcus Miller, as it could not be otherwise … hehe
I have noticed that the amplifier has too much range, it is not something especially problematic, but, you have to take it into account when you are changing the equalization, because if you go overboard … it has too much range … don't you think?

Too much range one can control, too little range leaves us wanting more. Given the choice I prefer the ability to keep too much range under control. YMMV
