If you mean Anderton's in the UK, I've had a good experience with them. Bought it Friday, showed up at my house on Tuesday! And even with shipping, less than US price.
Yeah, I've seen that price and it's why I was so tempted. I love Thomann too, but international returns are a PITA. Plus, I'm turning into a weight weenie in my old age. I'm willing to wait a little longer and pay a little more to Sweetwater or some other US dealers to know exactly what I'm getting.

Thanks for the advice, everyone, on the specs discrepancy at CME for the Vintage V7. Decided to go with the regular V7 Ash white blonde from Pitbull Audio instead. 
First Sire Marcus Miller P7 I ever owned. Nice Tobacco Sunburst in great shape according to seller's pictures. Should be here later this week on the brown truck? Did some trading and in agreement to do the trade. Looks more like the Sienna burst than the tobacco burst? Could be the lighting in the pics. Looking forward to it getting here. Pictures are the seller's.
It's really more of a cherry sunburst, than tobacco sunburst. Poor name choice on the color.
I agree,but way it was advertised. Even music stores advertise it as TS(Tobacco Sunburst)
You will love it. I sold my 4-string P7 to buy a 5-string version. Awesome bass. Super well constructed. I recommend upgrading the tuners to Hipshot Ultralites or Gotoh GB528. Then it will balance perfectly.
A quick "long term" review. bought a V7 vintage 2nd gen alder about 4 months ago now. At first it didn't resonate with me but I did eventually warm to it, having as much fun playing it as my much more expensive primary player.
I'm still having fun, and it still has a sound to it I'm enjoying. But I'm definitely noticing some indications that this guitar is manufactured to a price.
The frets are pretty awful. The fretwork is decent, not great as there are a few pokey bits in the higher register where the edges were not properly smoothed over. But the frets themselves are very cheap feeling. I've already had to tape up the fretboard to buff out some discolorations on the actual frets themselves, almost like they're made of tin or something.
Another thing I've noticed is that there are a couple of uneven frets from a height perspective that prevents me from dialing in a lower action than I think you could otherwise achieve with this instrument. These necks are supposedly plek'd to avoid this kind of thing, so I'm kind of surprised it's still not closer to perfect.
Overall it's a great instrument for the price. I haven't owned a "cheap" bass in probably 20 years, I just normally only have one or two basses at a time, not that I'm overly snobby. So I don't have any recent comparison to say if the actual frets themselves are cheaper on this bass compared to a squire or mexi standard. I'm pretty sure I will live with the frets and fix the fretwork and be happy with this bass for a long time. But I definitely have started to notice things that aren't as perfect as I thought they were earlier.

@3bc I *really* don't think Sire PLEKs the frets; that would be reflected in the price. But thank you for this careful review. Pretty much aligns with my experience with these basses (I have five at the moment). They're pretty great but not entirely perfect.
i recently played the new Fender Ultra and AmPro II 5 strings.
wow, they left me completely flat.
all but one Sire i've played has felt and sounded great.
i can live with some imperfections, but i've yet to own one.
we shall see.

I definitely could be wrong. I remember an interview where Marcus said they do. They don't market the instruments in any way, that it's all word of mouth. The money they save from that, amongst other things, they use to plek the necks. Maybe that was a long time ago? I could be wrong, but I have a very vivid memory of him saying that in an interview.
I don't think they're PLEK'd as I have had a bunch of mine done and the levels "before" can be a bit wacky on older ones. My V7 vintage and P10 had pretty bad fret work but it seems the latest models have improved the fretwork significantly. TJ, the PLEK tech from the Fender Foil video, always gives me a summary of the pre PLEK condition when I pick the instruments up and he has mentioned the newer ones being significantly better than ones I got in 2021/early 2022.
I will usually get instruments in like PLEK'd after I shoot the review. Had over 20 done from various brands. If Sire did it in house and did it right, they'd have a huge leg up on the competition.
