sire M7 gig worthy?

Does anyone gig with a Sire M7?
I gig about once a month. I’m looking for a versatile 5 string that is dependable.
I like the 18mm string spacing at the bridge. Ash body with maple top, ebony fretboard, and carbon fiber neck rods.

Sire gets high marks for build quality but does anyone have experience gigging with it?

I don’t have an M series however I do have a 5 year old 1st generation V7 that I gig regularly. The neck is very stable and the original tuners are still smooth and accurate. I changed the bridge because I got GAS for a new bridge, not because there was an issue with the original. I believe you will be very happy with an M series Sire.

My two cents: I don't gig any more but I have two M series Sires, an original "first batch" M3 4 and a more recent M7 5 string fretless (both gen 1). If I were gigging, I'd gladly gig with either.

That sounds like a great bass. What wouldn't be dependable about it?
I like a narrower spacing despite having large hands; I find it less fatiguing on long gigs.
Since I haven’t played one and none of my local guitar stores have them in stock Im concerned mostly with things like ergonomics, how it sounds in a live mix, quality of the B string. Stuff like that. Im not thrilled buying basses online without playing them first but that’s how things have evolved.

For that, playing an instrument individually or knowing the model well is the only way. Advice about those things on TB tend to be a little unreliable, IME.

I am pretty sure that the model will at least be quite decent in all those things -- it's a Fender Shaped Object, so the ergonomics will be decent. It's not a cheap bass, so the B will be at least decent. Etc.

Obviously, you are not left-handed. I can think of ONE guitar (not a bass) that I found on the shelf and purchased. All there rest (about 20 guitars and basses) were all purchased without being able to play it first. Covid caused the rest of the world to catch up (or would that be "lag behind?").

By the way, I gig with my V3 2nd gen MM regularly, going on three years.
