Sire Marcus Miller M3 received in rough shape

They are very helpful. Its too bad you aren't in a position to call in. I'm sorry you are having a bad experience, I can only go from my own. All of which have been stellar. Good luck.

I would try the phone route. Shane is a great guy.

EDIT: he would most likely want to hear you are having a negative experience. If someone can make the call for you it wouldn't hurt.

Next time research the seller. ;) The seller has 86 negative ratings in the last year.? I found that in under 10 seconds on my cell phone. Why would you buy from someone with such bad feedback?

86 negatives out of 32,220 positives is very very good - better than most, actually. that means under 8.6 negative experiences for every 3,222 sales. or .86 for every 322.

Easy to achieve with dozens of small items drop shipped from elsewhere, then the expensive items have a high rate of same bad experiences and even worse .... the percentage is all I looked at, they really play the numbers, give buyer instant positive feeedback, seems they found a way to work the system pretty good and have got away with thousands of dollars from folks in the small percentile.

dont just look at the percentage look for a review on the same or a similar item from that seller, had I not had chemo fog I would have caught on to this, made a purchase from overseas and had to weed through sellers that had great ratings on other products but folks unhappy with what I was ordering, should have known better

I have found too many eBayers that never got their money back even after item was returned (verified transactions), I have made one last contact to everyone at Sire and shared this post to Sire in hopes they will step in, if not I will go the ebay - paypal route and or have the wife or a bass buddy call Pitbull for me, as much as my Cali buddies would love to arrive in a line of Harleys to return my bass for me I will refrain and they can save those trips to the hospital for my niece and friends fighting Cancer in Cali, I am a professional even when treated poorly, at least I will try to be. Right now posting and emailing is my only defense, my only motive is to get the light weight Brand New Blue M3 that I ordered and paid for. Thanks to all for the input, on all sides, its appreciated, I miss my discussions and debates and work, a little silver lining, I got to use my problem solving side of my brain this week, or at least I am trying LOL
Keep on keepin' on, Bro! We're rooting for ya!

Sire engaged and asked what exact Bass I bought, seems they want to resolve it. I also went strait to Sire in hopes that they will either dump Pitbull Audio as a seller or monitor them and get them to clean up their act so another bass player does not get screwed. What if I was a non tech savy older person, I would be screwed. If my contact to Sire gets my bass resolved and avoids another person going through this then I turned a negative into a positive, something I strive to do in Life.

I certainly sympathize with your situation. You bought something and it wasn't what it was supposed to be. I also sympathize with your health problems and must say no one deserves to go through that. I hope that it gets easier.

Hopefully Pitbull will also step up and take care of this, given the opportunity.

My concern is that I found a dozen of folks who also received damaged goods labeled as new, half of those folks say they never got their refund the other half says eBay refunded their money. Seems like I have a 50 Percent chance of getting a refund. After reading the reviews I believe they are selling stock that either failed QC or was returned due to being defective. The outside box was fine but the marcus miller box was not sealed and was torn. eBay obviously has done nothing to stop this seller.
I hope you have already started the ball rolling on getting eBay/Paypal or whoever else involved to force a full return with no restocking fee. Don't wait. And no, do not accept "Well, let us fix the issue for you" from Pitbull. They'll run out the timeline on you and then you will have no recourse.

They sold it knowing full well it had issues and was not in brand-new condition. If they did not know, then they have no business selling instruments.
Both meaning that you cannot trust them as far as you can throw Shaquille O'Neal.

Pitbull sent me a direct email, it states they saw my comments on this board, so they only respond if you go to a public forum? Well at least he reached out, still dealing with Sire and shared Pitbull's email with them, Pitbull offered to send a different color bass. Having heard from Sire MGMT I would like them to work with Pitbull to resolve this, at least we are now discussing a possible solution and ALL THANKS TO THIS GROUP BOARD! Hopefully this will be over soon and hopefully a New Blue Functioning M3 that is not an anchor weight shows up at my house someday.

Glad to see Sire is helping. I'm sure you'll like the M3. I a blue one in july and its very nice. My best wishes and prayers are with you. I was going through chemo last year this time.

Thank YOU - Cancer/Chemo Sucks , the only silver lining has been I am off work and can practice bass and study theory more, at least when I am up to it which is still more time then when I was living and breathing my career.

Stay healthy and Rock your Bass my friend,

82 of the 32,193 feedback left for Pitbull over the last 12 months was negative. That means a buyer has a 99.75% chance of getting a good item from them. Seems like very good odds to me.
Fair enough. I don't realize the ratio was so low - trusted the guy who posted that number to disclose that little detail.

I'll refrain from commenting further until we see how this resolves.
