i agree

the difference between a show and a cd is the atmosphere and that atmosphere is defined by the musicians. so it depends purely on the type of music you're playing, where you are, and who is listening.

I think it depends on whether or not the audience is sitting or standing. I use to play in a ska band, we made music to dance to. Nobody is going to dance to really fast up-beat music being played by a band who is sitting down, its just weird.

By the same token, if it is the type of music where the audience sits and listens, then why not sit down?

Yes. The blind WILL INDEED enjoy a live show LESS than someone who can also see it.

It might not be PC to say that but it is absolutely true.

I am blind and I agree with this 100%. When I go to a live event I miss what is going on all the time. I barley go to live events and find listening to a live cd or watching a live dvd to be more enjoyable than the show, unless its in a club that seats under 1,000 people. Even getting frton row seats in the big arenas is too far away for me to get any real enjoyment out of it.

I also have cerebral pulsy and after tryng to stand and play at practice to not so good results, I'm going to sit and play so I sound better and I can actually move my upper body.
