six string bass

I was just wondering what make of six string bass i should go for ? I just fancy one but want advise on what make to get.

Makes little sense that a 6 wasn't made, but I think Conklin is mosly known for their 7+ strings. They're available from the custom shop, but far from on the cheap.

If you just want a 6 to have in your stable get a used SR506. Should be plenty fine. A little more serious, go for a used BTB.

They were in talks with Marco Mendoza to make a signature 6 years back (which I presume would have become a production model), but it fell through.

I thought they were going into the BRT-6 model, but word is that you wouldn't give up the Elricks
