SKYRIM!!!!!

The Dark Brotherhood quests were the best ones in Oblivion as well. But then I was a man-sized Lizard in a Black hooded robe, creeping round assassinating people :ninja:

I have to say though how overwhelmingly similar the whole game feels to Oblivion. I know its a sequel, but still...left with a slight sensation of being duped somehow I actually got more enjoyment out of the recent Deus Ex prequel.

Just completed the Dark Brotherhood quest (preferred it to Companions and Thieves Guild). Not sure what to do next - Mage's Guild or Civil War quests.

87 hours. But I'm almost positive that's not true. I have a tendency to leave my console on all night.

Lol, I thought I was the only one to do that, but I'm more likely to leave it on all day a sporadically play here and there.

Really loving the game though, takes me right back to playing Morrowind in high school, minus the CONSTANT freezing though. I was lucky to ever walk through a doorway, pull up the menu, draw a weapon... or really ANYTHING without it locking up my Xbox. :mad:

I've only had Skyrim freeze up on me once.

I usually spam dual fireballs on mine, and everything with the aoe range normally dies pretty quick. Couple that with a wall spell and perhaps a cloak spell and maybe even a conjured slave, and you're golden.

Doing that is huge fun those times you get to play with many undead at the same time. You just gather them, flamewall them, then spam fireballs while letting the flame cloak feast (stoneflesh before the battle recommended). Or flamewall much of the entrance of a big room, pull everything in there, run back and lob icy winds. Toss in a fire rune too, instant win! Playing mage is often about remembering to use your whole arsenal. Until you get mana to support spamming incinerate that is :p

I did often have trouble before level 20 though, when my destro was low and I had a small manapool. Then I had to be really careful. But using runes and a slave makes things much easier. And a little tip for fighting other mages; use a low-magicka spell to remove the barrier, use a high-damage spell to hit them right afterwards.

And remember assigning hotkeys and using favourite menu makes things a lot easier too :)



I tend to forget using my shouts. Anyone else who's the same? Like, I use it on boss battles, but I forget it when **** hits the fan in a more normal setting, like aggroing too many people on my warrior char.

I installed the game a week or two after my finals and it seems it's all I've been doing so far. Breton mage lvl 22 atm. Didn't do much of the mainquest, just up to where they give you the shout. I did the thieve guild (kept the key never finished it), mage guild, civil war and too many side quests, I'm currently finishing the side quests of the companions leaders...brotherhood is next.

^ Don't forget Hearthfire.

Unfortunately, none of them are out yet for PS3. What a swindle. But there is mention of them being out early next year. I sure hope so. It's an improvement from the statement that it wasn't looking possible to get them on PS3 a couple of months ago.
