Slap It!

It's definitely a great book, but does take time to get through (that sounded an awful lot like I'm through it...not even close to scratching the surface :) ) but it has some great exercises to get your chops up to snuff to do what is called for later in the book...or in the beginning for that matter.
 
I am enjoying working through Slap It!

Many of the examples use the open strings (esp the E) and you may need to adapt some of the licks to play them in different keys...

I feel that is a minor criticism though and would suggest that the key of E is probably the most natural to use for this style.

Get the book - I have had six months fun out of it and am about halfway through the examples.
