slapstrap, anyone use(d) it?

They look cool enough. But wow they are expensive!!!!

I have a 4.5 inch padded black Levys bass strap for my T40 and it seems to work out pretty good. Actually every Levy strap I have totally rocks (I have 4 of em)! Not sure what you need a heavy duty strap for but you might want to look at Levys stuff. Some of them aren't cheap but they are cheaper then the ones on that site. ^_^

Here's a great German strap that costs less and doesn't use velcro :

Will cost you about half as much including shipping to North America (it's about 30 Euro to Canada, likely similar cost to the US) - [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I am NOT paying $150 for a strap. No way.

well after paying 3-4 times 40$ for straps I don't like, I wouldn't mind paying 150$ if it's comfortable :)

The ergonomic straps from Levy's and really comfortable, and a hell of a lot cheaper.Their 4.5" garment leather strap is pretty nice too.

I tried some Levy's here, but didn't like any :/ might not have been some special models though

that sounds like exactly what I need for my T-40... where did you get it???

I got mine when they came out years ago and they were I think half the price of what he wants for them now. BTW, I saw Stanley Clarke with RTF 2 weeks ago in London, and he was using one on his main stage Alembic.

I am amazed that there are no similar designs out there. It is an infinitely adjustable system and adjusts perfectly in seconds, as opposed to threading loops etc and approximating the amount of 'strap hang' you need.
