Small combo for jazz trio

Which Rumble 100? New or used?

The current (v3) has a 12" speaker and is very lightweight.

The older has a 15" speaker and weighs more.

Just don't expect a lot of headroom out of a 100 watt amp. I gigged with a few back in the 1980s and they did the job, but I eventually moved to more power (400 watts) which is suitable for louder gigs (like rock band levels) as well as quieter ones.

Hello!
I've been playing bass for 5 years after playing guitar most of my life. I have a small amp that I use at home, but for rehearsals and gigs I use whatever is available.
I play in a jazz (fusion? Don't know exactly what we are) trio (guitar, bass and drums) and volume is usually kept under control.
I'm looking to buy a small combo to get a more consistent sound and to use when the amp provided is not great.
I live in Brasil and prices here are kinda crazy. I've listed some combos that have the same price range.
Fender rumble 100
Hartke hd 150
Peavey max 250
Can't try any of them since I live in a small town. By specs, the one looking most convincing is the peavey. To buy a head + cab it would cost at least 50% more (used) and I don't think I wanna go that way.

By all accounts, the Rumble would serve you well. I used a GK MB150E for a long time in a smaller combo and it was fantastic...it only let me down twice; once it overheated during an outdoor summer gig (it was about 105 degrees F / 40 C) and it was right in the sun for a long time, and one time it stopped working altogether...took it to a shop where the tech removed a crayon from one of the jack ports that my toddler had found fit "just right". LOL. He didn't charge me for the work.

….But this this one is the only one in existence.

I thought about mass-producing these, but I would get in soooooo much trouble from sooooo many people….:roflmao::roflmao:

Anyway, good luck with your search….:D
