smallest 1x15"?.....lightest?...

You should PM that TB'er who I think used to be called "veganbassist" and is now something hard to remember with "bass" and a bunch of ::::::::'s. He went on a total spree of hunting for and trying out small/light 15's.

As you probably already know though, there's the adage "small, low, and loud: pick two". Although the technology is improving, that rule of thumb still holds true.

I was on the same quest, and I picked up a Dr. Bass cab with an Eminence Kappalite 15" driver in it. It weighs 38 pounds and for some reason it is easier to carry with one hand than my 34lb Wizzy M-line. It is not a boutique cabinet, but I find that I'm very happy using it as a stand-alone cab (in spite of my reservations about using a two-way, as opposed to three-way, 15" cab). Bought it used for $300 and it does everything I ask of it. Pair it with the 12" cab, and there you go!

Bag End is about as small as they get 18"x18"x15" - but isn't exactly light at somewhere between 45-50#. Very loud, but not insane low end for a 15. The aguilar 1x12 is lighter and has more low end, but is not as loud. It can be pretty loud as long as you power it well.

I think you want a Kappalite 3015LF with a 6.5" mid from LDS or Dr. Bass. ~45-50lbs. Loud, low and light, but not crazy loud.

Alternatively, a DRB 115LF with a kappalite 3015 (not LF), would be damn decent. 38lbs, relatively small, and should go fairly low.

Yeah, The Acme B-2 weighs 50lbs. I have a B-1 and the low end is pretty amazing for such a little box. The B-1 weighs 31 lbs and it's an easy carry. My concern is it's only rated for 175 watts and may not be loud enough for a lot of folks with it's low sensitivity.

The flip side is that the B-2 is so small and easy to move that the weight isn't such a big deal.

I agree the B-2 is a great solution to this question. Just saying it's not that light...

Yep. And don't lose sight of the size/power relationship too-- Acmes get away with a small size because they are designed to use a ton of power to get their effective sound; most other cabs are designed to be less wattage-hungry and inefficient, but that almost always means they have to be a lot larger (the cab/box, not the speaker) in order to actually project real lows well.

Look at Dr.Bass cabs as an example of a cab maker lying his *** off about the size/power/frequency relationship of his cabs. ;)
