How did you manage to assume that I like to "moralize" out of that quote?
Considering the quote 'in short' was that we'd prefer to discuss it, rather than ignore it, I'm genuinely confused.

Considering the quote 'in short' was that we'd prefer to discuss it, rather than ignore it, I'm genuinely confused.
It was the rhetoric-style language of the post. To accuse people of "burying your heads in the sand" and "sweeping things under the rug", etc., is loaded language meant to guilt or to embarrass people for not doing what you think that they *should* do. At least, that's how I perceived it. I'll apologize if I took it wrong, but that's honestly how it sounded.
Lol, okay! My entire point was that those discussing it preferred to discuss it, rather than ignore it, as was obvious by the current discussion.
Nothing in the use of two common idioms about ignoring a subject suggest an intent on my part to embarrass anyone. They especially weren't intended to get anyone to do anything I thought they *should* do.
It was a precursor to an explanation as to why I chose to discuss the topic, and not just sweep it under the rug, or bury our heads in the sand as it seemed we were being asked to do.
I think you're reading WAY too far into the statements of someone you don't know.
You're only able to read a short typed comment, and already you're jumping to conclusions about my character with the most basic possible information.
It's just more proof that, though not my intention, ANYTHING can spark a nuclear-grade pissing match, is all I was getting at.
Your intentions typically don't matter much, this is a forum, if it can be debated, rest assured it will be debated.
You'd be hard pressed to find any thread that doesn't have at least some bickering back and fourth.
I understand that is practically de rigueur here...some of the replies are still nuts.
