Search for Lake Trash on youtube and you'll see this guy can indeed play very musically. If you listen and still rail this guy, you're just trolling.

Sure, he plays a standard blues bass line competently.

The fact that he refers to himself as The World's Fastest Bass Player in the notes on the video of "The Sky is Crying" invites ridicule regardless of how well he plays an actual bass line. It's a stupid thing to call yourself. So, as long as he calls himself the World's Fastest Bass Player with that horrific video as proof, he will be mocked, and I won't feel bad about it.

When it comes to music, playing the fastest for the sake of being the fastest is just an exercise.
I like to hear fast music playing as it applies to making the music better, like Tetsuo Sakurai or Brian Bromberg.

hell dude, I rote to a buddy of mine whos just begining bass, and I said hell, me or my buddy could play faster than this,
hell ive personally done it in a few of my speed metal tracks ive never put out.
now sure, there was buzzing from the bass, but wen you get that fast your going to get that especially if its miced.

now derect in and out to a pedal, thats a different story. wooh.

thats kickin some ass there. I don't think I can do that, I hate flat derect in tones and then someone cuts out mids and some lows so that it does not mess up the kickdrum.
thats what happened in that song. thats why theres a lack of lowend.

AFAICS it's just not actually possible to play past a certain speed, fingerstyle, on bass - the attack of the notes is not that fast, and it takes some time to mute them, so that's always going to limit the speed at which you can play discernible notes.

This is some arbitrary crap he made up to call himself the Worlds Fastest on some website I've never even heard. I can do that, faster, cleaner and with better tone but I never got a gig because of it.
