So, college?

Get your nutrition right. If you have a healthy diet you will have energy to do whatever you want. Work out (anything you like) and read lots of books (learn as much as you can).
Schedule your time off first. Then your "working hours" (studying, writing a paper, w/e). That way you know how much and how hard you have to work to get stuff done before enjoying a break. If you don't you'll end up either doing nothing or working during your "free time"

Had class today. Didn't get lost.

Gonna have to ask why on that one...
I already do have a Zippo on me often, just cuz I like to play around with it... but that's it. You seem to have a good reason for it?

You will always run across people who will ask you if you have a lighter on a college campus or at a college party. It's a simple and easy way to build small connections with a large number of people (assuming you take a second to talk to the person). It can help make a large college seem smaller by building your number of acquaintances.

I'm not liking all this online stuff. Nope, not a bit.

As in online assignments? Yeah, they suck. The programs always seem to fail when you most need them, and some, particularly math ones, are so particular with answers that you can easily fail an assignment, even if all your answers are right, simply because you didn't input your answers the way the system wanted them.

I've heard the horror stories about significant figures... And yeah, this age of technology sure is glorious.

So, I just got to college.

Any words of wisdom?

Please?

Yeah, no matter what you major in, take one accounting class and one Business & Technical writing class.

Why?

Because you may own a business of your own one day. You will need to understand the numbers, and you will need to converse in a written form in business style. When I look back on my college years, these were by far the most important classes I ever took. Were it not for these I doubt my business could have been as successful.

Beyond that, strive for consistency in everything you do. Consistent study patterns, consistent good nutrition and exercise, consistent sleep. The best 'workers' are usually the most consistent, not necessarily the brightest.

Oh, and get laid a lot -- but be careful out there.

Definitely. Even if you decide to play music for a living, you're a business!

And have one day where you don't sleep until 7am two days later.
