So I have a show this Sunday

Thanks! And I know it's not the best I've done but as long as I enjoyed myself it doesn't matter, right?

No, I would say it does matter.

The way I look at my performances is;

As long as the people I'm performing for enjoy themselves it doesn't matter.

If I just cared about whether I enjoyed my performances, I'd stay in the bedroom.

Well it's more modern Metal sounding? If that's what you mean?

No, I mean I'm 59, I watched the videos I couldn't figure out what the band was doing or what the OP did in his solo set. It all went way over my head.

I grew up on Stones & Beatles, how could I know?

Just checked out the video, you should be proud. It takes a lot of courage to get up in front of people to play with an ensemble, let alone solo. Way to go.

Agreed,

I would never have the courage to play solo anywhere to anyone. Not even when I was the OPs age and I had a lot less fears back then.

Ahaha, thank you! It's funny, though. Despite it's been a few days, I already feel ready/really want to play at another show. I want that adrenaline again.

You're on your way to a new addiction, man. And it's a good one;)

I remember my first show. The first song was killing in the name of by rage against the machine. There's nothing like having the audience screaming the vocals louder than the singer is through the PA, which happened every time we played that cover.

Congrats on the first gig, and may many more follow!

Thanks dude, and that's awesome! It's funny, though. My friends told me they were coming to support me then after I played my set, I was told that they were completely blown away. Hahaaha!
