So. I'm a sociopath.

If he actually diagnosed you as a "sociopath" I'd seriously question his expertise. Sociopath is a pop culture term, that means very little. Antisocial PD and psychopathology are the closest related actual diagnoses, and those are both largely different from each other. I'd get a second opinion. But MRIs do show some very interesting data on psychopathology.

I've been to three since I was diagnosed. All concurred. The real name for the disorder though is Antisocial PD.
 
I'm also a little skeptical on OP getting an MRI scan to check for Antisocial personality disorder. MRI's scan's are very expensive. Were you getting an MRI scan for other purposes and happened to stumble upon your weird brain pattern or what?

No, I had been going to a psychologist for a while who thought it'd be a good idea, and I don't have money problems, so I went through with it.
