Hey all,

Unfortunately, I think I have started to become addicted to buying and selling basses/GAS, and I think coming to TB fairly often has attributed to much of this. So many beautiful instruments makes me want more, and I just pulled the trigger on a decent deal for an older Spector Performer 5er with a case ($300). Although I'm very far from going broke, I don't want this to go any further, and I feel I need to start cutting sources of the addiction, including TB. Ultimately it is me and my love for this instrument, but it feels sort of like an alcoholic needing to ween off things.

I may come back when I feel I am ready, but this really needs to cool of for a good long while. I'm starting a new job soon, in addition to looking for an engagement ring.

I wanted to thank all the people here for having some good chats, and a lot of good advice I got here. Many of you are really cool, and I envy some of you with the great nice gear - even when it's dirt cheap. Because of you guys, I discovered the magic of flatwound strings for any type of music, and how reassured I would be putting them on (especially) a P bass. Many fun times reading through the HOF too as a supporting member when I needed a good laugh at work.

I hope to return one day as a better man, and even as a better bass player.

Take care of yourselves in the meantime, and I really enjoyed contributing whenever I could. Keep a good thing alive.

if not...see ya when you get up in the morning...especially when you see that Fender commercial on the TV or that Gibson magazine ad or that Mesa/Boogie bus bench photo or that Music Man sticker on the bathroom stall door....:smug:

Do as I do. Visit only, I repeat, ONLY TBOT.

Far from the sight, far from the mind.Haven't bought anything since I stopped visiting basses and effects forums.:p

This is what I do. Although recently I was visiting the FX forum and then I noticed a fellow TB'r mentioned selling a Bass Murf and now I'm the new owner of a Bass Murf. See how that works? Stay here. You're safe here.

Yup. My rounds include OT, Misc., and Band Management.

Misc. has caused me some problems, however, as I got a GAS attack from the guitar thread, and now I own a Les Paul. I RARELY visit the Basses, Amps, or Effects forums. WAY too dangerous.

that's my rounds as well, although recently i visited the recording equipment thread and my wishlist on amazon.com grew 3 sizes that day.
