yeh so the band has missed a couple of rehearsals and things are a bit slow...so i got my eye out for opportunities..
but instead of sitting around feeling sorry for myself...i have decided to start my own little project...
i have always loved the who and have decided to bit by bit learn a concert full of their songs...
discovering entwistles bass lines for all those great classics is alot of fun, substitute,pics of lilly, my generation, i'm a boy, a lot of these songs are harder to play then you think.
unravelling the bass lines is like seeing into Johns way of thinking and learning his music language. Most of his verses have subtle changes in them..nothing seems to be exactly the same verse to verse...and i can hear how he uses keiths abrupt drumming technique to slot in his notes
i also know a vocalist who is also interested in the band so you never know if i can get a couple of sets down something might happen
so if your ever bored with your music...try learning something different and make your own fun
