Based on that clip, it's obvious he can play alright.

I don't think anyone said he was bad... I do think he could have had a little better stage presence, but that was in context with an old clip somebody posted where he was quite a bit younger and was still being broken in.

I think what makes fans upset is they think MA was just kind of unceremoniously dumped and thrown to the curb, and deserved better. I don't know the whole story, but if any part of that is true, then yeah, I think it is disappointing.

to be honest, I couldn't imagine him being all that worried. I didn't grow up with vh so to me this all seems like either a nostalgia act or 'eddie needs a new car' tour. I f I were Michael, I'd be glad that I was still taking in the vh royalties while not being associated with a bunch of old guys.

Ah, the advantages of your daddy being rich and your mom being good lookin.......

He doesn't suck by any means. I mean how could he after spending all those years honing his craft in smoky dive bars, living on tins of tuna and sammiches from a chain store.

The only problem with having Michael Anthony is then you cant have Dave.

So when you do get Michael Anthony you get lame crap like Gary Cherone for vocals.

Its to bad all together but I'd rather see Dave than Michael.

David wanted to replace M Anthony many moons ago, when he seen Billy Sheehan play with Talas.

Didnt carry with VH but Dave got what he wanted, Billy on bass, and Steve Via on guitar. Dont wanna go there, between Eddie and Steve.

As a guy from Jersey I take offense to that! Sally was the best part of the cruiserss! :D

Wolfie is fine. He's not Mike A, and never will be. But he does make the band three VH's.

What you got on stage with Mike is more then you will ever get with wolfganger.

I'm not a huge VH fan, so unless Eddie sends me a pass I'll probably not check them out this tour.

It's all outdated music to me. I know Eddie has had substance abuse problems, but I enjoy players who evolve over time. It doesn't seem this has been the case for him. Same ol' tired playing and style that's stuck in the 80's IMHO. I feel the same way about Chickenfoot, but to each their own.

Just seems like they should stop. Too old to be playing that stuff, and it is sad to see a group like that do the typical 'oldies show without all the original members'. A bit sad and pathetic to me. IMO there.

That was me. You have good taste if you dig Extreme. Those cats are waycool, and a bunch of really nice guys. They hang after shows at the smaller venues and do "meet and greets".
Gary was the frontrunner to front Queen, then somehow they ended up with Paul Rogers from BC. Gary would nail that gig if given the chance. Glad he didn't get the gig though, that means Extreme will still be around to record and tour. Pat Badger Smokes on Bass and has a hell of a voice to boot!
