So will this shut up the Wolfgang Van Halen haters?

OMG, He's using a pick! That's it, I can't take the controversy. lol
Actually Wolfie is doing an adequate job. And if Eddie invited me to play, I'd jump at the chance and would laugh all the way to the bank at the TB'ers dissing my playing.

This... WolfG sounds great, and MA sounds great with the 'Foot
/controversy

:D I was a fan of the band way back in the day, and especially durng the Sammy years. Again, just seems a bit sad to me. The playing is OK... nothing different other than the stuff is old and IMO a bit tired now. Again, more 'sad' than 'bad' to me.

I don't know. I expect Van Halen to sound like.......Van Halen. Is it sad? Well, there are a lot of older acts doing the same thing right now, playing largely their old material, so they're in good company. Hell, I'm guessing if you and I had a chance to stick a few million in our pockets by touring the world, playing music and being treated like rockstars, we'd probably take it, right?

I generally don't think people have a problem with Wolfgang's playing, but rather just want to see the original lineup together again.:bassist:

Van Halen songs aren't bass anthems, although there are some decent bass parts to be found on various songs.
I really have nothing against Wolfgang, I would have liked for all four original members to be onboard though.

I'm sure the concert tickets will be an arm and a leg and I'll pass on it just because Anthony isn't there.

I saw Dave's solo band a couple of years ago in Milwaukee and that band was awesome and Dave sounded great.
As close to an old VH show as I'd ever get.

by the way he us dressed, looks like David Lee Roth not only will do the vocals for VH, but also do some light plumbing and tile work as part of his contractual obligations
Wolfie's playing is just fine, although i definitely think Michael Anthony is better
but if anyone is angry about the way they dealt with him, should be taking it out on Eddie not Wolfie!!!

look...Mike is doing just fine...he's playing with Joe "freakin" Satriani and Sammy Hagar!..having a ball...kicking ass and taking names. good for him!...

Eddie is a proud papa and wants to showcase his son...good for him. I have a daughter that I'm very proud of as well, so I get it.

Was the way it went down a crappy deal?...yes...do they probably owe him? yes...is Eddie a jerk sometimes?...yes...but what are ya goona do? If you don't like it, Don't buy any of their records or concert tickets...Instead, buy CHickenfoot records and concert tickets!

IF you get a chance... check out the Adam Corolla show wehre Sammy is pimpin his book.

He very graciously tells what went on (did a great job)... There was a good Valerie interview that said just about the same stuff

I'd hate to work for my dad... especially if he were EVH

You can't bash Wolfie... dude has guitars named after him... I don't know an honest Tber that wouldn't have taken the gig...

Fender?!? I captured this from a Cafe Wha video that show's more of Wolfie and you can hear him way better. Almost all bass, drums and backing vocals on this video
