You can't even buy ready-to-eat food with SNAP benefits where I live. I tried to by a rotisserie chicken once, and it wasn't covered and I paid cash.

Those guys on YouTube who sit in front of their camera or webcam and bark about politics or have a social commentary need to get out and go for a walk or toss a Frisbee® around if they have any friends. I would never think about linking one here because it would just solidify my reputation as a kook.

Think about it.

You can't use foodstamps here for booze or tobacco either, so people just sell them to somebody else for 50 cents on the dollar, load up on liquor, and beg for food.

They use EBT cards here and there is no cash-back, and you can't buy any prepared foods either.

It would seem to be an efficient way of converting federal entitlement money into state revenue via tobacco and liquor taxes, which vary by state but are often quite steep. Benefits the retailers, too.

I heard it on the radio, on a "news" conservative talk station. That's all we have here. I guess a 5% reduction could be considered "drastic" if they had forecasted growth and got a soo prize!
